The University of South Carolina’s Student Government presents Inside 1801, a podcast series highlighting UofSC alumni and student organizations. Inside 1801 takes its name from the founding year of the university and aims to spark a collaborative conversation between alumni and current student leaders, as we discuss relevant and controversial topics surrounding our campus. This podcast is produced in partnership with Garnet Media Group.

Inside 1801 is a spin-off of the 1801 Live podcast, also produced by Garnet Media Group. Inside 1801 is hosted by Abrianna Reaves and Brynn Burke. It's produced by Ella Lukowiak and Olan Domer.

Season 2:

Episode 6: Passing the Torch ft. Courtney Tkacs

On this episode, meet and get to know our new Student Body Vice President elect: Courtney Tkacs! She tells us about her time in Alaska, her path from student council in high school to student government in college, her plans for the future in public health and law, and more. Courtney will be the next host of Inside 1801 as Abrianna ends her term.

They’ll discuss with Joe about being the second openly LGBTQ+ student body president, finding your purpose, ways to get involved with the alumni association and how the university can continue to grow and create positive change.
