In late 2019, Columbia welcomed Black Rooster, a “Frenchish” American Bistro. Between the views, the food and the cocktails, Black Rooster is a new hot spot!
The first thing you will see after crossing the bridge into West Columbia is this corner restaurant with a lit-up rooftop bar. Black Rooster is unlike any restaurant in Columbia. It is unique for their French- influenced dishes and cocktails.
The food has a price range from $9 to $34. Some of the menu’s popular items include Le Cheese Plate, Filet Mignon au Poivre, Vietnamese Mussels and their Tarte Tatin. Their cocktails include a variety of French spirits and wines.
Kristian Niemi, chef and owner of Black Rooster, has other very popular restaurants and bars in Columbia. If you have enjoyed Mr. Friendly’s New Southern Café, Gervais and Wine, Solstice Kitchen and Wine Bar, Rosso Trattoria and Bourbon, you will most definitely be pleased with Black Rooster!
As of now, Black Rooster is only open for dinner, but they hope to open for brunch soon. Reservations and orders can be made online, but walk-ins are always more than welcome.
Between the delicious cuisine, fancy cocktails, and stunning views at sunset from the rooftop bar, Black Rooster is a must-go for your next night out.
